2 Nov 2009 // WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald famously declared in the Valerie Plame affair that "there is a cloud over the vice president." Last week's release of an FBI interview summary of Dick Cheney's answers in the criminal investigation underscores why Fitzgerald felt that way.
On 72 occasions, according to the 28-page FBI summary, Cheney equivocated to the FBI during his lengthy May 2004 interview, saying he could not be certain in his answers to questions about matters large and small in the Plame controversy.
The Cheney interview summary was released Friday to the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, which sued to get the material under the Freedom of Information Act.

Gee, I didn't know we had a VP that had Alzheimer's Disease while in office.
Meanwhile, the man who ACTUALLY did leak her name, Richard Armatage was never charged or prosecuted.
And that's what Fitzgerald found, but did nothing about.
Instead, he went after Libby and didn't convict him on the actual accusation, but on a process crime - meaning his memory did not jive with someone elses.
You guys might as well accept the FACT, neither Cheney or Bush will ever be charged with anything.....because they haven't committed any crimes.
Hmmm... so basically the report they obtained was a "summary", they don't print a single question or answer in the summary report in the article, and the article is written by a group whos entire purpose is to find ethics violations in Washington.
And we are just supposed to "take their word for it"?
I say slap him on a water boarding table and lets see how his memory improves.
