I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.

A while ago judge Napolitano on Fox News said the same thing...it isn't constitutional so I guess your right and things might end up at the Supreme Court and Obama's buddies over there have to pull a string called political money game....

Does it say anything about the government regulating the meat we consume or the pharmaceuticals we ingest?

Does it punish "the people" if they don't do as it says?

Where, in the full text of the constitution and not amendments, does it allow anyone but white male landowners to vote? Where does it say in there you can be 18 and vote? Where does it allow taxation? Where does it make slavery illegal?

It's a document that changes over time, that's the point of the amendments.

It should never be allowed to punish people for not buying a service, ever. As it sits it doesn't allow punishing people for not buying a good or service so an amendment will be needed before such legislation is deemed legal.

That was your state government. The federal government doesn't mandate car insurance or its rates. There is a difference between State and the Federal Government despite them both seeming to be the same nowadays.

A majority portion of the people and leaders do not care about the constitution and do nothing about it when it is being trampled on.
Example, the {R}s and their duped followers will screech about that health care is not in the constitution, but just recently they passed the prescription drug plan.So according to them drugs are in the constitution but health care is'nt.
Those same {R}s and their duped followers also are gung ho for the patriot act which is against everything that the constitution says gives us freedom. They use the excuse it is vital for national security,a great man once said people that give up their freedom for security deserve neither.
But then you have the {D}s and their duped followers who were screaming bloody murder over the patriot act being unconstitutional, but now that there party is at the helm it is ok and they now support it.
Most {D}s and their duped followers go to the only clause that they know by heart the general welfare clause.See,paying others peoples bills and expenses according to them is for the general welfare of the country. They take those 2 words to support any of their socialist programs and the rest of the constitution means nothing.
