I would rather a Republican votes NO on spending $1 Trillion dollars without reading the plan
than have a Democrat that votes YES on spending $1 Trillion dollars without reading the plan.
Just a few weeks ago John Conyers was out stumping FOR a bill that he said he didnt have TIME to read.
How about you find an acutual argument that doesnt include liberal hypocracy?
And why would someone need to read a bill costing tax payers 1.2 TRILLION dollars (not including the 250 BILLION Doctors fix that will be a seperate bill) considering the level of deficit spending we have already gotten ourselves into?
geez.
Pointing out Conyers statement does not make it a legit stand for any Congresman to take. I'm sure you would agree with that. The difference is that most of the American people want a comprehensive Public Option Health Insurance Plan passed. When you obstruct for political purposes or more often than not, because you are in the pocket of a lobbyist, you are displaying a self-serving and corrupted agenda. Do you realize that when these corrupt Congressman lose their seats because they did not listen to the will of the people, they come back to Congress as lobbyists? Everyone should be screaming for campaign finance reform because your vote will no longer count unless you are a corporation. No matter how you choose to look at this, Inhofe was dead on wrong and made it clear that he was not speaking for his constituents, but for himself and his political agenda.
Can you show us the bill that Imhofe refuses to vote for without reading. Dirty Harry just admitted that there isn't really a bill, at least until the CBO can show how much it will cost. Another vapor bill that nobody is allowed to read.
well, if this was acutally about healthcare that would be interesting.
considering that this is about CONTROL and Democrats taking CONTROL over 1/6th of the Amerian economy... it isnt interesting it is SCARY....
and while this bill isnt a single payer system, lets not forget that every major player on the left (The Obama included) has stated they really want a single payer system but we have to get there one step at a time.
Whoops. Too much truth here. Liberals will fall head over heels if they read this one.

Do you have the same sense of outrage for those who voted FOR the Stimulus package without reading it? The pork-laden, lobbyist-driven almost trillion dollar package?
As another poster noted, I'd rather have a knee-jerk "no" than "yes" when it comes to this kind of money.

You missed the entire point.
