I actually agree with you... people misspeak. We all have. It was the irony of this one that I thought was somewhat unique.

So Boehner has embarrassed the Republican Party and Conservatism. Is this news?

Just to be on the safe side - I'm sending Boehner a copy of "The Declaration of Independence - The words that made America" by Sam Fink. Reading Level - ages 9 -12

Its not unique it happens to us all at times I'm sure we wish we havent.

I dont get the making a big deal out of it unless its done on purpose and a lie

example Obamas 57 states. I dont think he believes we have 57 states. I took into account that he had to be very tired. Even when we arent it happens.

Here's one with just Boehner so you don't have to watch too much Olbermann (I'm looking out for ya' ):
John Boehner Blows Constitution Quote At Tea Party Rally (VIDEO) - Really - Air America (http://airamerica.com/really/11-05-2009/watch-john-boehner-blows-constitution-quote/ - broken link)

And here's just the pledge botch:

I noticed the emphasis on Under God and the other part but just didn't think about it at the time. Could that be because of where I stand on the ground around this kind of thing compared to where those at MSNBC stand.

I have always said to students that the ground one stands on is what influences how he sees history. I guess it works on things like that, also. This kind of thinking is called "frame of reference" and it does determine how we all think.

Nothing wrong with pointing out the non-news worthiness of something which isn't news.
