Hey...maybe if those "assimilated Muslims" would stop being so quiet while their more louder and murderous brethern went on rampages, they'd get more press.
"Officials from the Islamic Society of North America, the American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council and Imam Mohamed Magid of the large Northern Virginia mosque ADAMS (All Dulles Area Muslim Society) among others held a news conference Friday, urging Americans to view the shooter as a criminal individual, not a representative of Islam." (Washington Post, 11/6)
"The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslim American Society (MAS), the Muslim Public Affairs Council-DC (MPAC-DC), the Islamic Society of North America Office for Interfaith and Community Alliances (ISNA) and the American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council (AMAFVAC) and many others have denounced this barbaric act of violence. Not only were these actions condemned in the strongest possible terms, but as CAIR stated in the attached video that “no political or religious ideology could ever justify or excuse such wanton and indiscriminate violence. The attack was particularly heinous in that it targeted our nation’s all-volunteer army that includes thousands of Muslims in all services." (Minneapolis-St Paul Star Tribune, 11/6)
This is probably too much quoting but I really stink at getting links in properly - I'll keep working on it in case the mods pull this.

Well, for one thing, they don't have much control over the media. For example, the the American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council issued this statement yesterday, as a press release and on their website:
Quote:
The American Muslim Armed Forces and Veteran Affairs Councail (AMAF and VAC) condemns in the strongest terms the attack on soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas resulting in the murder of at least a dozen soldiers and the wounding of many others. We express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families. We join the Community of Fort Hood, Texas in their mourning.

I'm assuming you were not aware of that, or of the many other similar condemnations, unless you purposefully sought them out. It's not exactly in their control what the news channels choose to carry.
Second, it's not the job of a private citizen in a completely unrelated field in an unrelated area to be releasing "statements" in the first place. You can't possibly expect some Moroccan or Indonesian doctor somewhere to start contacting "the media" about something done in another state by an American-born Palestinian.
Anyway, fact is, there are tens of thousands of Muslims in the US military, many serving overseas. There are millions of Muslims in the US, though many of them are secular or nonreligious. And they'll be here tomorrow, too. Life shall continue on.

They do this all the time.....come out with these canned statements. How many times have we heard them?? I want them to rat on their cousins, brothers , uncles....what ever. Don't think they don't know if uncle Sahib is talking crazy! Call the FBI ....do your part! Take some action! But we never see that!
My mother spent ten days as a tourist in Turkey two months after 9-11. She still speaks of the number of people who expressed their sadness at what had happened and their love of our country. One woman even cried. She experienced NOT ONE case of negativity.
If Hassan's parents had not been allowed to immigrate here, he would not have been a natural born citizen.
Muslims should not be allowed entrance to our country on student visas either. In particular, they should not be allowed to come here to take flying lessons.
As for poor pathetic Useful Idiot, Jose Padilla -- Islam should not be allowed in the prisons or in our poorest, most desperate communities where recruits are stupid and vulnerable.
WOW! You are one fearful lady. I doubt there is anything anyone could say to undo whatever damage has been done to your thought processes. Prime example of what happens when people give into fear and are willing to do anything to address those fears, even if it means allowing the government to have powers it should not. The people of 30's Germany thought the same things, and we know where that lead.
Thankfully such think is limited to a small minority and clearer minds and thinking are the norm in America.

No such thing as a ' secular 'muslem ! Secular arabs, indians, africans, but not muslems since it is religion .
Also there are about 3,500 muslems in our entire military .I don't know if this is counting the cons men they recruit from prison or not ,just the offical count .
Its really absolutely ironic that so many blacks join this cult since they were the ones to enslave them recruit their black slave masters who later sold them to the europeans who then brought them here to America .

Oh, she should have included a stop in Palestine and Jordan! They were passing out candy in the streets after 9/11 to celebrate the "sweetness" of killing Americans and Jews.
Because there liberal watchdogs want them here . Especially the 'ex ,lol,' muslem 'Barack Hussain Obama .
The liberal watchdogs???
Who has been more in bed with the House of Saud more than the House of Bush?
Who insured the safety of the two dozen members of the bin Laden family following 9/11 (and rightfully so I might add)?
