The glow from a health care triumph faded quickly for President Barack Obama on Sunday as Democrats realized the bill they fought so hard to pass in the House has nowhere to go in the Senate....
The problem is that the Senate won't run with it. The government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to a few Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate.
If a government plan is part of the deal, "as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote," said Sen. Joe Lieberman
Translated: "If Congress gives the American public a choice between Big Insurance and an affordable government option that takes even a dime out of the pockets of my good buddies, Stephen J. Hemsley and Ronald A. Williams then as a matter of being beholden to them for all the money they kicked into my campaign I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote."
Lieberman thinks people don't see through his baloney, or worse, he doesn't care if they do.
I'd like to know if the House allowed to pass the fine that will be imposed if people don't get a policy. The insurance giants are salivating at that. And if it passes, what will the uninsured do, besides scratch themselves and pass air?

I don't think that the government plan will be less expensive than any of the private plan .. (I think I read somewhere that it would be more expensive)
And if that's true, then the insurance industry will, of course, raise their rates to match the government.
