There's more than 46 supporters of the Second VT Republic in my hometown so I think your numbers are a bit off there.

Statistics theory require but a tiny fraction of the global population size to test a hypothesis. While the uninformed probably do not want secession, it's not like we have to listen to them.

Because I believe there are enough people like this man, I doubt it. The extremists would go to war. The rest of use would just watch from the sidelines and carry on after it was over. Just like fights in high school.

There's never been a fine for not buying something in American history simply for being a living breathing human being, EVER.

No. There are no "lines" along which a Civil War can be fought.

No A Civil War is not possible in the US, in the forseeable future. However, given the current political climate, the rising rancor and vitriol over all sorts of issues, partially exacerbated by a new-found determination that diversity and multiculturalism are 'goals' of the highest importance, to be pursued in and of themselves, regardless of extenuating circumstances; I CAN easily visualize a gradual..(or NOT so gradual) increase in our societal 'discord', which will prompt us, at our OWN request, to call for an ever-more restrictive set of laws, rules, and regulations, in an effort to protect 'ourselves' from 'each other', and to ensure that "our" group doesn't lose out to any other group....And should that come to pass (and I think it will, in time), then we won't NEED a civil war, because we'll have pretty well decimated the whole society anyway. America will continue, but it won't be a world leader..nor a particularly desirable place to live. It will simply become a very 'average', third world nation, its population consisting of a number of different groups, each wary of the others, with no group exactly 'in charge', no group exactly 'oppressed', but no real freedom or sense of 'belonging', either.

Civil War would require that the different 'sides' fight over territory(s). America's 'breakdown' will not be regional...it will be societal. No 'North vs South'..no 'East vs West'..it will be just a case of 'our group' vs a number of 'other', incompatible groups....and the remedy for that won't be 'War'....it will simply be more of a permanent 'stalemate'.
