Might this just be people projecting their own views upon 0bama, of what type of personality they feel a US president should possess? Maybe 0bama is just a man who does not openly express emotions.
The day I, as an American, start to wish W. was back in office is the day I fashion a crude noose out of my shoe strings and hang myself, as I will have realized that I've totally lost my sanity.
Just to throw this out there. I'm gonna make a monthly check list and see what Obama has done so far that would make me reelect him.
Things that should have been addressed but aren't:
Don't Ask Don't Tell
GLBT marriage rights
Gitmo
BOTH wars are still in effect and with no solid plans from the White House.
High unemployment
Illegal Immigration
Job offshoring is still here, which is total bs.
Education
True healthcare reform is being pushed aside.
The deficit is insanely too large and NO ONE IN THE WHITE HOUSE CARES.
The drug war raging in Latin America.
The problems in the Horn of Africa.
AIDS/HIV crisis hasn't even been mentioned by this administration, I think.
Global human trafficking
Israel/Palestinian conflict, which is the apex of a lot of Middle Eastern tension with the West.
So far, and all my Democrat friends agree with me here...Obama has been a huge letdown so far. No one expected him to fix all this in a year, but geez, you could at least create plans and start finding ways to implement them. I honestly can't think of anything Obama has done outside of this weakly thought out healthcare bill in MONTHS.
that said, nothing would make me want Dubya back. Nothing.
You think Obama shoud've addressed all the above specifically in his first 10 months? Are you serious? You act as if it is solely up to Obama to pass legislation. Have you been watching as congress has waffled back and forth on healthcare..You must have had unrealisitc expectations. No one person could possibly fix all those things in one term let alon 10 months. Those things didn't go bad in 10 months and we shouldn't expect them to be fixed in 10 months.
Oh yeah, the people wanting Bush talk is total horsecarap.
Remember when we had a president in the WH..? It's been a while, but I sure miss the good old days.
Now we're stuck with a socialist coward, who lets plastic Nance dictate policy...
I always thought it would be cool to have a woman in the WH, but I didn't think it would be in the form of Obama.....
