Arkansas 10-Year-Old Won’t Pledge Allegiance Until Gays Gain Equality :: EDGE San Francisco

I would like to find this boy's email address, and send him my support and best wishes on what he's doing! Hurrah to him for being willing to take a stand on something, even though he is suffering abuse from others for it.

Good on ya, little man!

Young children like this do not come upon these decisions without outside influence, whatever happened to letting kids be kids? Shouldn't he be singing songs in school praising our president like all the other children his age?

Now the liberals are using their kids as pawns in their game. Very shameful.....

I am happy the little boy is standing up for what he believes in, and I'm all for GLBT rights being the same as those who are straight, but it bothers me that this little boy is stand a stand on something I am like 100% sure he barely can comprehend, in terms of historical and social context.

A kid takes a courageous stand, and a commenter finds a way to turn it into an attack on liberals.

There are still cowards, I guess.

Wait a minute,

I remember in the last election cycle that Republicans villified a school because they wouldn't let a girl wear a Palin shirt to school.

I don't agree with kids being brainwashed, but both sides do this crap, don't make it look like liberals are the only ones.

Um, ok...whatever floats his boat. Glad he is able to protest as is his right.

Well, he won't have to wait long at least. The house, senate and presidency are all democrats and not those homo-phobe Republicans...I'm sure they will pass gay marriage any day now. *crickets*
