Are Americans Really a Nation of Sheeple or Would They Fight? (drugs, health care)

Regarding Americans' willingness to fight tyranny there are two camps out there. One camp is exemplified by this writer's opinion

What Democrats fail to recognize is that...what worked in the past has already stopped working for many and its not working at all for other. At some point there will be national policies of minimums — in housing, health care, food, transportation [and this will bring on] civil unrest.

There will be massive protests because of the lack of minimums. As more and more people join the disenfranchised there will be more unrest. Eventually, there will be out and out rebellion — people will die — many people.

The other camp is exemplified by these responses to the question posed, "Will America Rise Up"

While I'm sympathetic to the idea of armed revolution in America, it's not happening.

1. Life means very little here, especially compared to money and information. I mean, even the death toll of 9/11 had a miniscule impact comapred with the video of the event and the merchandising cash it raked in for everyone.

2. All your friends and comrades, armed to the teeth, well-trained, and with the element of surprise could only hold Washington DC for anywhere from about 12 hours to about 3 weeks, depending on a few different factors. After that, there's no way - missles start blowing you up from 60,000 feet, there's no where to run, and the gov't just waits until you're toast.

No, they won't....the average american can barely even operate a motor vehicle, much less with a mobile phone, to even substantiate a thought to try to understand WHY they would need to rise up...

THERE ARE CAMPS BEING BUILT

THERE ARE DRUGS BEING MADE

THERE ARE BIOWEAPONS THAT ARE BEING SPRAYED

...and then, there are the Georgia Guidestones telling them that 90% of them must die....and the stones still stand...

....so, NO! America will not rise up, America will drown in its ignorance and high-fructose corn syrup...

....Let 'em....

The answer is NO AND NEVER. WHY?

BECAUSE THEY ARE SO STUPID. WE ARE TOLD WHAT TO DO AND WHO TO VOTE AND HOW TO LIVE OUR LIFE.

WE ARE BEING DUMBDOWNED EVERY DAY WITH REALITY SHOWS.

There you have it. Two extremes. One group says yes, Americans will bite back if they are kicked hard enough; the other group believes America has lost its nerve and will never fight back regardless of what the Powers-that-be do to us. What's your opinion? Is America a nation of fighters, or of do-nothings?

Whatever the TV tells us to buy, we buy.

Whatever the TV tells us is cool, we imitate.

Whatever the TV tells us is hip, we wear.

Even Sheeple will fight if they're told to.

And some political forces are all about selling fear, disinformation, and anger to an audience that eats it up with a spoon. Just like in your post.
