Mere words do not a person make. I'm astute enough (or is it "more educated" or even "elitist") to realize that a post does not in itself depict a whole person. Some people write liberal ideas but are not liberals. The obvious anger in your post above results, I believe, from too much generalization. Yes, I am pretty educated but I don't hold it against anyone. I don't have ANY mob mentality at all. Very few people I know ever agree with my views. I defended Ms Prejean, though given her performance on Larry King, I don't think I would like this woman if I ever met her. But I defended her for her honest answer during the pageant. And I defended her repeatedly on this forum.
I also don't think people are denouncing Christianity for the actions of a few, but are simply pointing out that if you denounce Islam for the actions of a few, it is hypocritical if you don't hold Christianity to the same standard. If you are going to apply different standards to similar situations, you have to be able to explain it and defend why it is not hypocrisy.
Ms Prejean is a hypocrit. Telling her belief based on religion but then makes a masturbation video for her boyfriend. Hmmmm think thats against christian teaching.

Did I miss the part where Prejean campaigned against posing for pictures? If she did, then I'll go along with the hypocrisy claim. Otherwise I would be assuming to know her views without evidence. I haven't followed her much but unless she's married to another woman, I'm not sure I'll call her a hypocrite.

I have said it before, my problem with her pageant performance wasn't WHAT she said but how she said it. She made no sense and sounded really stupid.
I think her problem now is how she is treating those that are interviewing her. I have not watched her Hannity interview so I cannot comment on that but I did watch her on The View and Larry King. She sounded like a petulant child.
If she was 17 when she made the solo sex tape and sent them to her boyfriend, she could be in a lot of trouble for sexting and could potentially be considered a sex offender. That has happened with several sexting cases. Perhaps there needs to be an investigation and she should face the consequences should it be revealed that she WAS 17. BUT if she was 20 like the ex suggested, then she needs to own up.
