Say all the nasty things you wish about Sarah, but she is, and will be, a powerful force in American politics for a long time to come. Speaking badly about her won't change that fact. She is intelligent, and a proven winner. She will go as far as she wishes to go...
Now, continue on with your wicked tongues, it means nothing...
Thank you for the big laugh, I just almost got coffee up my nose. Palin and intellegence is an oxymoron, I'd trust my dog to have greater intellegence, not to mention honesty.
She is NOT irrelevant! She is the BEST weapon the Dem Party has. Even better than Limbucket, better than O'Rile-em-up, better than Hinsanity, better than Becklost and even better than Faux. Clueless OK, but useless, in NO way.
Lets see, is this post not just a pile of Pelosi useless name calling that accomplishes nothing but making the writer feel better about himself? Somehow that is all I see here.
Watching the trials and tribulations of the Sarah Palin Wasilla Hillbillies has been fun. Sort of like the CSPAN version of Jon & Kate plus 8.....but now we just want it all to GO AWAY.
Until someone on the Right can give a real explanation on how a woman who quits her position as Governor of Alaska (giving no satisfactory answer in her book or otherwise) will make America safer and more econmically sound, Palin taking the White House in 2012 is a "pipe dream"
Did the media ever try to find anything other than from the books, ostensibly written by The Man, about the BIC (Bower in Chief)? If so why don't you point some of that stuff at me? Don't strain anything any more than they did in looking. That attack on Palin was so obviously nothing more than the media proving who the first Obama slaves were.
Well, I don't know about whether her quitting made it safer for the rest of the U.S., but it certainly made Alaska a safer and more economically sound state
The liquor store and fireworks sales alone on the afternoon that she announced she was resigning created a minor economic boom over the entire state.
Could that boom you talk about equal the removal of the media people looking for dirt? Just think they all got drunk and came back to the lower 48. I wonder about what you said since it had to cost the state a pile of money to have them move out.
Maybe you didn't get the memo - Palin wasn't running against Obama. McCain was. Now that you've gotten the news, spread it around your peer group. You guys haven't been able to grasp that simple concept, and it's been well over a year now.
Oh, and your having to resort to name calling instead of voicing any type of legitimate criticism "speaks volumes to me" about you...
You're absolutely right on that point---Sen. McCain did run against Sen. Obama for the presidency...he and Gov. Palin lost said election, that much is history...
As far as legitimate criticism, read on...I've said this to others on here before and I'll say it to you now in answer to your post---to wit, I'm not so naive as to think that Mr Obama will roll to re-election in 2012...will I vote for him again? Yes...is his re-election a shoo-in? You and I both know that 'no' is the only answer for that question...
If, however, the GOP wants to win back the White House in 2012, then the divide that currently exists will need to be healed. On one side of that are the (my words) 'traditional Republicans' (McConnell, Boehner, Huckabee, Romney, Hutchinson etc)...on the other side are Mrs Palin and others who believe in the 'Tea Party' style---that is, scream, shout, jump up and down, call names, beat their chests loudly about 'taking back the country', and generally thinking they're going to shove all that down the electorate's throats, and basically think they're going to tell everyone, if elected, how to live their lives, worship, who they can and can't love, etc...and that's not something that sits well with me or a lot of other folks, on BOTH sides of the aisle...
I've also gone so far as to say that the next logical progression in the Presidency is the election of a woman...good, bad, or indifferent, Mr Obama is the first minority ever elected, so a woman would likely be next...
Now to my main point...if the GOP does decide to have a woman as their candidate, I will hope to almighty God, that it's not Mrs Palin...she just strikes me as a whiny, irritating wannabe, who wants to tell all the rest of us how to live, and that we're all a bunch of godless liberal lefties if we don't by golly you betcha agree with her...in the words of my uncle Sylvester 'I ain't havin' none of that'...Swagger, I don't know where your politics lie in this, but I'm quite sure, as a matter of fact, I KNOW that the GOP can do better than her
I can name many other GOP'ers, male and female, whom I've heard speak, whom I've read articles and books written by, seen on TV, that I would support if they were to be elected in 2012...I don't subscribe to the ridiculous notion that 'the left' (that all-encompassing boogeyman nickname given to those that don't agree) is scared of Sarah Palin...I'm not scared of her, quite frankly, I'm sick-nigh-unto-death of her, and I wish she would realize her 15 minutes were over on Election Night, and just go away...
And that's how I truly feel...I realize that you won't agree with me, and I respect your right to both disagree AND to express your opinion...that's how I've always done things
