the womens movement was founded to right some wrongs.
it resulted in part in doing so.
but the cost to family and marriage was enormous.
largest prison population in the world
a creeping distrust between the sexes that will never be restored
marriage down 50%
divorce up 50%
it used to be "we"
now its only "me me me".
the sky is cryin sing it.
Shame on women not wanting to be owned by men.
Shame on them for demanding equality.
Shame on them for not accepting abuse.
Shame on them for demanding equal pay for equal work.
Shame on them for demanding the vote.
Shame on them for wanting to own property.
Shame on them for being people.
shame for making men property .
shame for abusing men.
shame for taking his income and property.
shame for rotten kids.
shame for putting him in debt forever against his will
shame for making him a servant in his own home.
but there is no shame is there
only me me me.

Yeah, that is a shame. There are a lot of cases of women making false accusations too and they're taken very seriously.
It's becoming a woman's world. They're taking over.
Before i retired what i saww was a real change in the wopmen I worked with teh last ten years. they bascailly had decide they didn't want you to give them nayhting by looking at them as vistims ofpast bias but to look at their work and reward then=m for good performance. Quite different than the old feminist victim advocates thinking.I think this is a major factor in women moving ahead of many men ;especaily monorites.

hard to take any one serious with these posts. to address you bias and unequal view of women and relationships (if indeed these posts are not a joke!)
....the cost to family and marriage was enormous. yes perhaps, but before the feminism women were abused and stayed silent. women were unable to have credit or hold a job other than school teacher, secretary or nurse. so most got out of terrible situations and lots went into the work force to earn money for their families.
largest prison population in the world
...and this has to do with women, how? I was under the impression most of prison population are men not women. can't blame a woman for forcing a man to commit crime.
a creeping distrust between the sexes that will never be restored
...men have said this since adam
marriage down 50%
divorce up 50%
this info comes from where?
shame for making men property.
there isn't a man I know who is property of a woman.
shame for abusing men.
true abused men by women are a very small percentage. abuse is never right.
shame for taking his income and property.
it is called a partnership. the income and property are both of theirs.
shame for rotten kids.
men should not help raise their kids. maybe it is the absent father, that if he was around the kids would not be so rotten? eh?
shame for putting him in debt forever against his will...
yeah right what about the women married to cheap men that refuse to spend a dime. a man should be man to have the kind of relationship where him and his wife know the budget.
shame for making him a servant in his own home.
hard to imagine any man putting up with being a 'servant" in hi s own home.
but there is no shame is there
only me me me.
again hard to take a post like this seriously
I think the thing is--and I actually took a grad class on feminism and the Middle East--that those who are loudest and most extreme seem to exceed their actual numbers. That's true in any culture, even ours. The extremes at both ends of the political spectrum make tons of noise. For a lot of reasons, these extremes have gained control in some Muslim countries. While life for many women may not be great in many Muslim countries, on the whole, I believe that most people are in the middle. They live their lives pretty much as other people do.
A good book that shows this is *Three Cups of Tea.* It is the true story of how one American man built and continues to build elementary schools throughout Afghanistan and then Pakistan. He believes that from simply educating girls at an elementary level in small and remote villages, much change can follow. It's a cool back. If anyone has any extra money, I'd give it to an organization like that guy's. Almost all the money goes directly to building and staffing the schools. The guy's name is Greg Mortenson.
The point I was trying to make was that "extremist" is in the eye of the beholder. American women who wanted to vote were considered extremists but SOME here have odd views on "extremist".
