I remember when she came close to ending her show about 10 years ago. I don't remember what caused her to change her mind but in retrospect it probably would have been a good thing for her to do. Maybe she could have had a family or something instead of trying to "save" the world from itself. I like her, but she shouldn't be everywhere she is.
So, we've gotten so insane in our thought processes that the announcement of Oprah's retirement prompts a few people to reason that it's due to Obama.
Bush Derangement Syndrom is apparently contagious.
Hey listen, I have seen enough upside down explanations from various assorted kooks on here that I thought I'd give it a try.
It's more fun when someone takes the bait..thank you
Her shows viewership has tanked. I wonder why that is.
She's a phenomenon of the 1980s and 1990s. The millions of women who loved her have outgrown her, and younger people don't see her as hip - at least, that's my guess.
She's probably got enough money to retire by now I would think.
No doubt she's got enough money to finance the retirements of everyone who's posted at CD and then some. I will miss here---been watching for years---but I'm not surprised she's giving up the daily show. She's been talking about it for several years. I don't, however, believe she'll retire altogether from broadcasting. She'll be doing specials from time to time and will continue helping others develop shows of their own.
