She's probably got enough money to retire by now I would think.
2011???? Or, she might just decide to run for office, herself.

The last time I watched Oprah, her guest was Michael J. Fox, and he had not yet been diagnosed with Parkinson's.

Oprah does alot of good through her charitable work. For that I applaud her. But once she became a vocal advocate for Obama, I lost all respect for her...so not sorry to see her off the air. She will have more time to do her charitable work...

Hopefully, she'd run for office in Chicago. She has the money. She'd never win a national election.

You don't know much about Oprah if you think she only donates to "minorities". In 2005 Business Week listed her as the 32nd most generous Philanthropic in the world, having given 303 million and she is repeatedly listed as the most generous celebrity in the world. She gives a lot to human rights groups, orphans, cancer research, peace groups, animal rescue, rape support, creative arts, the angel network, child abuse, adoption, disaster relief....the list goes on.

Apples and oranges. Oprah has been on the air 25 years and was not serving in an elected office. People get tired/bored after 25 years of doing the same thing. Palin gave up an elected office half way through her commitment to the people who elected her.
