She says she is leaving because it just feels like the right time. That may be but her ratrings are dropping like a fly and her magazine is on sale big time. I get ads saying subscribe 75% off and I got free issues for the last 6 months. It may be she feels her audience is saying it's the right time.
And in a couple of years she will say goodbye again...in tears from her own channel....
You are right...I get the free offers all the time for her magazine...I cancelled it years ago when I find out how much of a hypocrit she really is...but for a while I was a great admire of her...now I can't stand her anymore...JMO
The Oprah aint going anywhere. She is reported to be launching her own cable network and that is why she is cutting out to Cali. I've seen her mansion on Hawaii. Why don't these people just go enjoy the rest of their lives? I guess power is addictive like the smell of poop to flies.
They had a poll on asking will you watch her on cable---I clicked no and most did as well.
When she goes to cable it will show us if she was really that popular or was it just that she was on at a great time. Will people watch her if they need to search her out?
Oprah put herself there when she endorsed Obama. Maybe her next move will be politics.
she has the power to make authors best sellers I am sure she would get a lot of votes. her organization that matches donations of her viewers have done a lot of good in the world. she is greatly admired and rightly so. I doubt she really cares about ratings or if her show goes into syndicate or not. she retains the rights she could sell the shows on dvd. but more money is not what she cares about at this stage of them game. she deserves to do something different if she want to.
I can't be the only woman who never watches her shows.
I see her magazines on the supermkt shelves and the articles are the same stuff you can find in Glamour or Cosmo.
I can select my own books to read, thank you.
I can update myself on current issues, thank you (isn't that what City Data is for?).
I don't need to see more celebrities interviewed, thank you.
