WASHINGTON - They call it the "Botax."

The White House and Senate Democrats have turned to a proposal to tax breast implants, tummy tucks, wrinkle-smoothing injections and other procedures as they search for ways to pay for costly health care overhaul plans.

I hate taxes like that. Cosmetic procedures should have nothing to do with funding a national health care plan.

Actually, Salt Lake City has more cosmetic procedures per capita than any other city in the U.S. Other surprises in the top 10: Louisville and Nashville.

This used to be elective surgery that people paid for out of their pockets..no insurance coverage.
That kept prices low. Guess the government has no alternative but to tax the heck out of EVERYTHING..and don't think it won't happen.

And that is still the case, which is why this proposal is out of bounds, in my opinion. It would be like taxing expensive food in order to pay for government food stamps.

Yup..the governement folks are all full of botox and think they can just liposuction the money out of every nip and tuck in America.

That said though..too bad Michael Jackson passed away. He alone could have erased the deficit along with Joan Rivers.
