It begs the question, though - why would Senate Republicans fear a debate on the bill?

Well, I'm okay with debate, but this whole thing looks like a complete and total disaster. Does anyone actually BELIEVE the preliminary CBO scores? Hopefully it won't pass in the end, but I think it probably will.

I feel like these politicians have the chance to enact meaningful, fiscally responsible reform.. and instead we get a pile of garbage, filled with paybacks and other nonsense.
Yes, I know this is how politics works, but it's unfortunate, especially on an issue as large as this.

Great stuff! George Bush and the Republicans had 8 years to come up with a plan and solution to the health care crisis, and they didn't have a clue. Stands to reason that they still don't.

GREAT PROGRESS is being made here under President Obama.

LOL okay, let's see if this "ends the crisis." This bill honestly looks like it's going to exchange one set of problems for another. But hey, let's be all emotional and "oooo democrats vs. republicans" about this rather than be rational and look at the details.

Palin hasn't won election yet, so you can hang on to that until her victory night.

Funny you think that way since the Communist and Socialist in areas like Berkeley, Seattle, and San Francisco all support the Democratic Party and even Pravda has said Obama is leading us to Communism.

Some people wouldn't know the difference between conservative values and communism.
Obviously, some people actually believe the joke in the WH today somehow.....shares the same ideology as Palin when it's so obvious.....he idolizes COMMUNISTS, revolutionaries and radicals who's sole desire is to redistribute wealth......just like communist nations do.
This is NOT Palin's but THIS administration's true agenda and its blatantly obvious.
CityPerson.....wants a Communist America because he's still PO'ed at Bush.
He's not alone. Sadly, the Dems. do too.
