You opinion, but, reality shows us the duties of the Vice-President are clearly outlined in the Constitution.
An interesting link decribing the role/duties/history of the Vice-Presidency
U.S. Senate: Art & History Home > People > Officers & Staff > Vice President of the United States (President of the Senate)
Those who point out Palin's short comings as a
candidate seem to dismiss that Obama, who actually made it into the office of the Presidency, has proven through his actions that he does not clearly understand the Constitutional constraints on the powers of the President; or, he chooses not to adhere to them.
He further fails miserably in his roles as: Commander-in-Chief, Chief-of State, and his misdirected Powers of Appointment (czars but incomplete cabinet).
There is little productivity in belaboring a failed interview of a former candidate when we have a very real danger presently in the failings of the person occupying the office of the Presidency.
The shortcomings of a former candidate pail in comparison to the short coming of the current President.
