MTV responds to 'Jersey Shore' critics: 'Just one aspect of youth culture' | New Jersey Entertainment - Celebrities - -

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/pennsylvania/20091125_MTV_show_about_Shore_life_called_offensiv e.html

I do not believe these buffoons are demonstrating an Italian American stereo type. These groups need to pipe down their sensitivity levels.
I think the "stars" of this show are only making fools of themselves.

In New Jersey if you want to avoid these idiots you go to other beaches besides Seaside Heights and Point Pleasant.

Furthermore Guido is not a racially derogatory term. It describes a subculture within the Italian American population and it looks like this show will have them pegged. LOL.

I tried to watch this show to see what all the hype is about. I think I lasted a total of 2 mins. There didnt seem to be a purpose for this show but for them to be able to party

This is exactly how we feel about the ghetto shows MTV, VH1 and BET has stooped too over the last couple of years. Ignorance at its best no matter what the race it seems.

A bunch of not too attractive posers acting dumb on camera offends many people. But its not any worse than The Real World or that lame show that was set in the Hamptons.
Just give these people skateboards and dirt bikes and have them crash into walls or try to jump off roofs.
