My condolences on your lost Zim....You and your family will make it through.

You made me laugh with that last part. I usually weigh myself at least once a week until the last week of Nov and the first week of January...don't wanna bring the New Years in depressed. We tend to throw down in the kitchen during the holidays.

since we moved out of state and away from family it is just the 4 of us for dinner. We'll cook together. My husband is in charge of the turkey breast and mashed potatoes. I'll do the stuffing, green beans, rolls. We will skype with the rest of the family.

Growing up in a Black Southern home, I feel my pallet has been denied. I'm going to have to have a talk with my mama tomorrow. If you see a news report starting off with "black NJ woman put in the hospital by her mother" that would be me.

Going to grannies house for some R&R.

Wild hog backstraps, and venison steaks!

I was just notified we are having a new addition to the menu from Mamma Gawgia herself. Paula Deen's Fried Creamed Corn with bacon. I will just schedule my cardiologists appointment now.

Let me guess...macaroni & cheese, potatoe salad, collard greens, yams, sweet potatoe pie and banana pudding.

This is why I do not get on the scale until January.

Why not yam pie?

I hear something the other day on the news, The question was, "What is the difference in Yams and sweet potatoes?"
They said, "that Yams is copyrighted by the state of Louisiana. Yams and sweet potatoes are the same thing, but Louisiana, calls them Yams. For it to be called Yams, the sweet potatoes have to be grown and processed in Louisiana, and you can get in trouble for calling sweet potatoes, Yams(in a commercial cannery/processor) if they are not from Louisiana."

I had to laugh.
