San Jose, California (AHN) - A 400-pound San Jose, California, man missed his flight causing him to miss his uncle's funeral because one ticket agent determined he was too big to fit in one seat and needed to buy a ticket for a second one. The only problem: there were no other seats available on the flight.

Sorry, but he should have bought first class. I have seen too many people to huge to fit in a seat, they are too small for most Americans, only to crush the person next to them. Once, in the Denver Airport, there was a man so huge that when he sat in the end seat in a row of seats near the gate, the other end rose 45 degress in the air. (No one else was on the bench.) A guy in the Army helped push him out of the chair. In line to board my flight, he was eating a candy bar. Later, he was seated next to a small woman who was crushed next to the window. Its no different for me; I am tall. I know that if I want leg room, I have to pay for business or first class.
