No,since long before that date the threat has come from Democrats,who are today not at all democratic.Since the Democratic Party takeover by far left radicals with Marxist/Leninist ideology,it has become the de facto Communist Party that is rapidly turning the nation into a clone of the old Soviet Union.The fact that threads like this one,and at least a dozen others like it on this site have been started and exist at all,is just one more indication that this opinion is widespread and growing.As for the topic,use of the armed forces to suppress the citizenry is unlikely for reasons that others have stated.The real threat could come if the administration puts into effect a proposal that Obama mentioned during his campaign.He envisioned a so called civilian security force that is separate from,and not under the control of,the military establishement.This force would only operate under the office of the presidency.A million men would not be required.A force one tenth that size would be very effective.The historical equivilent for such an organization is 1930's Germany,when Adolph Hitler created the Sturmabteilung (SA),the dreaded Nazi Brownshirt thugs.History does repeat itself,and Obama knows history.So do many Americans,and this is why many are arming themselves and preparing for the worst.

I've seen this thread for awhile but had put off the look see until I fashioned my tin foil hat.
The military has some great people and not one has given oath to the President. Their oath is to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.

Sure they will, many of us still hold the oath we took to heart, and if needed will help defend this nation against the enemy from within, the ones that want to tear it apart and rebuild it to their own vision. Not to worry, they don't have the nerve to even try, only a total idiot does not know what the outcome would be, TREASON is treated with harsh measures, as it should be.

Considering that this country doesn't have a Constitutional form of government now and that there are very few politicians that care about what the Constitution even says, and only one, Ron Paul, that campaigned on a Constitutional form of government and was "shot down", I'd say everybody that "still holds the oath we took to heart" pretty much has dropped the ball, so to speak. Look at all the government programs and show how they're provided for in the Constitution! I doubt you can.
