Wrong. Bush inherited a recession from Clinton, the dot com bust started under Clintons reign. Under Bush we had record low unemployment and tax cuts that gave money back to everyone, not just the banks.

From a high around 70 to under 50% in less than a ten months.

Not in my wildest dreams would I ever imagine he would have been this much of a disaster.
Good summary, worth bringing back up. He can't even get the democrats controlling both the House and Senate to pass his agenda.

You forgot to include his absurd and totally undeserved nobel peace prize.

I am so glad I came across this post. As soon as I was done laughing at the OP first comment, just had to say that Obamas Hope and Change message was right on, if we hope that things will change then they will (only it will be for the worse). Obama has done little to show for his time in office. He has shown that Americans have the freedom to realize what a mistake it was to believe in his words and not look into qualifications or abilities to actually do the job. I know alot of people that did not have one of the "saved" jobs and I told them just Hope and maybe they can scrounge up enough Change to pay their bills.

The OP is delusional. Obama is, even at this early stage, simply the worst president ever.

He's deliberately attempting to turn us into a third world country and a dictatorship. There is not one thing that he is doing that is good for this country - not one!. It's so obvious that he's anti-american and anti-white, anti-free market and anti-free speech. He's also anti-Constitution and as such, a danger to our freedoms.

His handling of the economy is at a whole new level of incompetence. It's not about health care, it's about power and control. That's all he cares about - advancing his own radical agenda and as the Reverend Wright would say "GD American"

At the very least he's an embarrassment, at the worst he's a danger to the very freedoms and values that make this country great.

I'm not a fan of the progressive tax, but that's what Democrats value and it has some merit for the time being. If it keeps the deficit down, then so be it. Can't have it both ways.
You'd better keep a close watch on your wallet. On second thought, don't bother. You won't be able to slow down the redistribution from your pocket to the rest of the world. If you think those unde $250K won't pay taxes, you might want to review the definition and scope of the word.

By the way, what is the obsession with the deficit when we already have liabilities of $105 trillion that are unfunded (that means we can't pay)? And that's BEFORE the current additional spending under consideration. The trouble is that the government has no credit limit on its "public" charge card.

OMGosh. What an idea. Nancy would be grinning from ear to ear as she pushed this through Congress. How could they NOT love it. I can see it now - Nancy jubilant, hardly able to contain her excitement, almost delirious, biting her lip, standing there behind Obama as he unveils a new plan that will truly redistribute the wealth in an efficient manner.

WHAT is in the DC water!?

You're entitled to your opinion, obviously. But it is important to remember that that's all it is. Reagan went through the exact same attacks from the left early in his presidency. No doubt Obama will emerge, so long as he doesn't get gunned down by an extremist with worse repercussions than when Reagan did.

Reading hate-filled posts on this forum from the far right, I worry.

And all of those hate filled posts from the left leave you?

The reason I ask is because of hate postings like yours who accuse the "right" of being things they arent..

You do understand the "Obama socialist" poster was made by someone on the left who thought Obama wasnt far left enough, dont you? The left is going crazy.

That really needed to be said. It's overdue. There have been far too many hateful suggestions accusing the "right" of potentially being violent. Enough already.

This is a president who doesn't just unload a bunch of troops in harms way simply because there is a call for more troops. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come from this great President...and don't you critics forget it either.
