Your telling me more people listen to "hate filled" postings than "hate filled" Air America, and thats your justification for being very concerned about those on the right, vs the left?
Who listens to Air America? The liberal mind does not function on the same basis as the conservative mind. They're not just mirror images of one another.
For whatever reason, the conservative mind seeks to have its preconceived notions reinforced, thus why Fox is so successful. The liberal mind, generally speaking, seeks to challenge its preconceived notions.
I don't know why, but researchers have done psychological studies that bear it out.
Think of it as saving up for the down payment on a house. There are actual start-up costs in any plan of this scale and there has been much effort put into assuring that potential dislocations are not so sudden or severe as to cause the existing insurance industry and its many workers to be spun off into economic chaos. This plan begins a measured, slow, and gradual process of getting us off of a fatal status quo, moving us toward the type of national health care system that we can actually live with in the long-run, both health-wise and budget-wise.
Wrong analagy, because people start paying taxes now to receive NOTHING later, you know your argument, that its being funded COMPLETELY by premiums, then why does the rest of america need to "save up for a down payment" on something they arent receiving or paying for?
Why the need for "taxes" now, if only $2B in tax revenues are being used to fund the healthcare and the rest from premiums?

Well, I guess I didn't understand your point. Still not sure I understand, but, no, I don't think liberals listen to some unknown voice on a web forum any more than anyone else.
And what is this talk about "pretending" what they say? Go to a Palin rally someday. Listen to conservative talk radio - especially the call ins. Scary stuff.

That was only done so it looks like it was budget neutral or that it would save on the budget deficit. The 10 years after 2019, not so much. Of course that can be fixed by yet even more taxes but, for the time being, just get it through and let the people find out about that later, right?
