I really hate to see that massacre occur,...mainly because Americans may soon need some mode of transportation other than the automobile. Cap and Trade will increase the cost of fuels substantially, and now that Obama has slapped a 35% union protectionist tariff on tires, Americans may have to start riding mules, camels, or horses instead of automobiles.
Sad but true.

While the original "Afghan" Camel trains were invaluable in exploring and transporting goods, thoughout the desert interior of Australia. Their Feral descendants however, have become a major problem and next to Cane Toads...and Rabbits, camels are another example of what happens, when you release foreign animals into an ecosystem and allow them to breed uncontrollably. Australia now has the largest population of feral camels in the World and their massive numbers, are destructive to both native vegetation and property.
Plus, We already have the "Rabbit Proof Fence" and the "Dingo Fence". We don't need to be building anymore pest control barriers! Which are expensive to build and due to the vast distances involved, difficult to maintain!

Neuter them. I like camels. I watched Lawrence Of Arabia. Neuter people, too. That's a better idea. Snip snip....no more Joe Le Tessicle.
Using snipping in conjunction with shooting could be a an alternative? Though camels can live for 40 years and there's no guarantee, that you could find and catch every camel in the country.
