Pork didn't use to be white. With the type of factory farming with controlled diets now being done, the loin of the pig is now as white as the white meat of chicken, the original white meat. The meat of pigs raised the old fashioned way isn't nearly as white. When the producers developed that white loin, the marketing changed to move the thinking of pork as a red meat to that of a white meat. That all happened when red meat started getting a bad health rep.
A wild Russian Feral hog, is just as light as anything from the grocery store.
The other white meat backstraps, taste so good, smoked over some Mesquite!!
Poultry is what is most well known as a white meat. The pork industry ran an advertising campaign referring to pork as "the other white meat" as a way of reminding consumers that pork is a choice when limiting intake of red meat.

I think that most fail to realize that when one uses that other white meat with words about Muslims or Jews they are referring to the fact that people who originated in the Middle East don't believe in eating pork since pigs will eat about anything, including other types of meat. Of course, they eat chicken and other foul and watch sometime what all chickens will eat. They are very unclean to me but to Muslims it is pork that is unclean.
