Obama has been everything I could ever have dreamed of in a president.
He is completely open and honest, and doesn't try to hide anything.
He included war costs in his budget - which Bush previously kept hidden.
He set up recovery.gov to allow the public to track stimulus recipients.
In total contrast, Bush used to hide everything. Bush stonewalled the 9/11 commission when they requested information. Bush was known for having the most secretive presidency in history.
Obama has helped to restore the world's opinion of the US, which Bush completely destroyed.
I also like that Obama shows respect for other world leaders by bowing. It's much better than the "middle finger" arrogant attitude often displayed by Bush.
People who aren't noticing the "change" probably never liked Obama from the start.
They also act as if Obama should be performing miracles, and he should be able to end the recession and both wars overnight.
Sorry folks ... it took Bush 8 long years to CREATE this disaster, and it will take Obama a long time to fix it.
Has anyone ever called you a dreamer? DO you really think he has restored respect from other countries: Opinion yes, but I don't think it is a positive one necessarily...As for bowing, compared to middle finger, don't you think you are being a little over-dramatic??
You love the guy, good for you, you hated Bush as a Pres, your right, but I think you are way off base on his accomplisments.
That is my opinion, you have yours, so keep living in your fairytale world.
He has proven to be a fraud and has done nothing to repair many of the problems that he vowed to fix.. The country is even further in debt, troops are esculating in Afghanastan (and being killed in very high numbers), unemployment is at RECORD highs AND the Health care plan that he promised is very unclear and unlikely to pass..
The same thing I ask all of them- what exactly has Obama done that is "socialist"? I am a LIBERAL and I have yet to see anything he has done that is "socialist". Yes he has bailed out some big businesses but that was at THEIR request. I hardly call helping the rich "socialism".
Are you kidding??? what has he done that is socialist??? lets see, he took over the banks, general moters, chrysler. He is pushing to inject goverment into the ENTIRE economy with the cap and trade bill (cap and tax), and of course we all know he wants a goverment run health plan. If that does not make him a socialist im not sure what will. Once its all passed, I wonder will we get those soviet style mayday parades??? Imagine that in front of 1600 pennsylvainia ave lol

He took them over because the stock holders and the politicians that represent the areas where these businesses are located ASKED him to take them over to try and save their asses from financial ruin. I am not at all into bail outs. I would have let nature take its course with all of them. An economy sometimes has to clear out the fat, dumb and inefficient.
