How can it be a "sound defeat" when it was a difference of less than 5%? When you write things like that you are showing your real hand [like in poker]. Quote you write: "For one, I don't vote in CA, and this was not an issue I saw as something that would greatly effect my life, win lose or draw". That's like the bigots who support human rights but fly the confederate flag. If you are a bigot at least stand up and be honest about it.

I voted against the first ban on it, but no longer live there. Too bad, I would have liked to vote against it again. I guess I will just have to settle with the comfort that all of my family and friends there will vote against the idiocy of redefining a word.

Which is why there is so much "gold" in re-programming the youth. It is why you see homosexual plots on the majority of TV shows, it is why it is constantly in the media and sensitivity of homosexuality is constantly being pushed in the lower education.
If you can not get people to agree through normal debate, you simply flip them the bird and pursue campaigns on their children. And you wonder why so many groups despise the actions of this agenda?
Any liberal referendom on gay marriage will need "bench clearing support" from registered Democrats. This will undoubtedly include blacks, who as we know, are strongly against this kind of thing.
