No, its turning around. The fact we are coming off our best job reports in back to back months in almost two years shows its turning around.

You'd think that if unemployment insurance, food stamps and tax cuts were so successful and worked as quickly as the administration is claiming they would have done more of that then rush a $787 billion dollar stimulus through with only a 1/3 of the stimulus going to that. Instead they spread the money out, ironically, to hit right at election time for 2010 and 2012.

You're right, he's doing exactly what FDR did... Buying votes.

And the holidays had nothing to do with that. You did see where all those jobs were created, right? Temp. and part time jobs. Those infrastructure jobs haven't come to fruition.

The UE numbers are seasonally adjusted. The temporary holiday jobs have little to do with it.

tell me what does this poll say about nixon and LBJ?
is there any coorelation between this poll's high approval and war monger presidents?

Last time I checked, in our republic the election of a president is the will of the electorate, not your personal preference.

Default After 1,5 yrs in office Obama wins award for lowest approval rate EVER

Just to set the record straight, Obama will be in office 1.5 years on July 20th. But then, getting anything right isn't a priority for some who've completely swallowed the right wing agenda.

AP (12/10/09) New Jobless Claims Rise by 17,0000 in one week

The Labor Department said initial claims for unemployment insurance rose by 17,000 to a seasonally adjusted 474,000. That was above analysts' expectations of 460,000.

That doesn't take into consideration the numbers of those whose benefits have run out. Let's see what effect that has on his favorability rating. I don't doubt that the peace prize acceptance speech will give him a boost and offset any dips in ratings, at least temporarily.

Do you have any understanding of what "seasonally adjusted" means?
