I definitely believe there is a sex addiction and some of what these guys have shown would be shared attributes (lack of care of consequences, risking image, etc to fill a desire)
I think the difference is where is the desire coming from and what happens if it isn't filled?
In the case of professional athletes and politicians (because it's not just tiger and JFK - it's very rampant) I think it has more to do with culture
I can speak more to athletics - even in HS I was at a party where the star basketball player was getting oral from 2 chicks in the middle of the room - i have many good friends who played collegiately and their life was pretty much an orgy
It was more of a libido meets opportunity culture
You have a bunch of guys trying to be "men" and live an image - you also have a countless supply of attractive women begging you for sex
You also have a competative personality involved and when you get to the top level a good amount of confidence and arrogance
I can get way with this because I'm Tiger Woods and my wife is lucky to be with me - there are thousands of girls who would kill to be her and I have the means to handle any situation that may come up .... if a girl gets a little to much I have security and cash to take care of her
they live life on the road so casual encounters are always ample in supply and often happen with the knowledge that you'll never see that person again
I think the real sex addicts are the ones who feel the need to sleep with a celebrity or athlete, who will demean themselves for them to fill some kind of need
I do not buy this sex addiction crap!!! I think these guys lead lives we can't even imagine, they, of course have huge egos and think what ever they want to do is OK.
I think there both ) JFK & Tiger sex maniac's through habit and therefore can be called Sex Addicts.
I have zero respect for both in this regard of human personal management.
With above , its impossible not to have the opinion that Tiger is less than all in
respects to decent living.

I think it's simply a matter of these men being rich and famous and given far more opportunities than the average man to have their way with many exceptionally beautiful women. If 5 models per day approached you and you could have sex with each one, what would your do? Tell them all to get lost? Neither was a sex addict, just men who were frequently exposed to pretty women who wanted to have sex with them.
I admire JFK for what he stood for in terms of civil rights, his values, his character. I admire Tiger for his golf play.

His values and character, I guess we see character and values in different ways; his views on civil rights, yes...
Just doing things, anything...just because you have to, without regard to others that will also affected by your actions is disheartening.
Male libido, as an excuse for cheating puts you in with the category of animals. However; we have brains that put us one up on the animals group and that gives us the capability to determine; Should I do "this"? Yes or No. The ability to reason gives us the excuse to do the same. If you can't control yourself..man or woman or gay don't get married.
Do I have respect for people with no self control? Nope.
