Indeed, negative growth is better than no growth at all -- Obanomics.

Remember, this is only the initial guess. We'll have to suffer through 2 revisions to get the real story.

I don't even bother with GDP calculations any more. No point in it. All of the data since 2006 has pointed to the same dead end flat-line economy for the rest of this decade.

[Emphasis Mine]

How sad.

You people pay so much freaking tax dollars for "America's Best" -- the "you-Harvards" and other "Ivy League Elite" jack-asses in your government and they can't even crunch the numbers for your economy right.

Your economy will neither average 5.0% nor grow 5.0% between now and 2020, and you don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to figure that out.

You all better figure it out soon, because a ship is about ready to wreck into your train-wreck.

Not impressed with the Ivy League...

5.0 growth is not going to happen, and especially if Romney loses.

Who's the crack addict who came up with that nonsense?

Looks like Obama's plan is working.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: “We tried our plan—and it worked. That’s the difference. That’s the choice in this election. That’s why I’m running for a second term.”

Actually, if we stop disinvesting in government spending GDP growth would be better.

France has endured similar GDP and unemployment figues for forty years.

Maybe those French genes haven't been "eradiated" and eradicated quite enough?
