Some of you may have read this man that called himself Aussimale on some American forums about 5 years ago. Those who don't know about him will probably be happy to read this thing he sent me in an e-mail. He does live in a socialist nation but he isn't one of them and in Australia they seem to shift back and forth every three years when they have their elections. Read what he says and then rate him, please.

A lot of people in our respective countries, especially if they are so pedantic and obstinate about a petty thing like a description of income on a pay-slip, should do a little historical research before commenting on something they know very little about. In doing so they will discover that of all the countries in the world, although they are not perfect, the ones with the fairest justice systems, the greatest prosperity, the greatest respect for life and human dignity, and the best places to live are the ones founded or evolved from where the teachings of Jesus were put into practice.

Have you noticed that the Union Jack, which I have discussed before, still appears on many flags of countries that were colonies of the former British Empire including Australia and New Zealand. We have already seen the statistics regarding livability etc of these countries. Critics of the Union Jack on our flag don’t like it because they say it is a symbol of imperialism and sour memories of a corrupt administration in the beginning of these colonies, but they should really acknowledge it’s true identity as a symbol of Christianity.

It is made up of a combination of the cross of St George, the patron Saint of England and the cross of St Andrew, the patron Saint of Scotland. Many of the Nordic and Scandinavian countries including Iceland, also have a cross on their flag which represents their transition from the barbarism of the Vikings, to Christianity and the moderate, fair minded and industrious people of today. (Socialists included unfortunately).

Despite the apparent overwhelming secularism in the countries mentioned above, the flags of these countries are still highly valued and respected and remain as proud symbols of their societies today.

I was brought up in a mainly secular and non-religious environment (due to my mother’s opinion of the church, hypocrisy etc) and did not really discover these facts for myself until later in life, so I believe I have not been influenced or “brainwashed” as a child and I am totally unbiased in many things relating to the Bible and religion in general.

Do the critics of “Merry Christmas” in the U.S. also criticize other holidays like “Martin Luther-King’s” birthday and refuse say its name or acknowledge any significance, or attach any importance to it? I betcha they don’t! (The reason that Dr. Martin Luther-King was honored anyway, despite being unjustly assassinated, was mainly due to him publicly using and acknowledging the teachings of Jesus in his speeches to promote his cause).

I totally understand that many people (including myself) are sick of the commercialism and exploitation of significant events such as Christmas and Easter (the Easter Eggs and Hot Cross buns are on the supermarket shelves in early February now). All of the commercialism aside, people still need be reminded over and over again of the real meaning and great significance of Christmas and how Christ’s birth and very existence changed the world for the better, and made it possible for them and many millions of other people to live in great countries, be free to celebrate whatever they like, and be able to criticize just about anything without fear or favor in the first place. What I am saying are historical facts, not religious viewpoints.

Do you raise Australian animals other than kangaroos? I will ask my friend if he knows much about the 'roos. He may since he lives there with them.

How does this connect to American politics?

Also, its still looking like Rudd will win, though narrowly. Its kind of a standard if you ask ANY american conservative any question, their answer will be typecasted.

Whos going to win 'x' elections? "The conservative guy"

Of course not! What our PM thinks, isn't a reflection of what members of the public think.

I doubt it! The Australian Liberal Party is in such disarray at the moment, that if an election is called? It will be an easy victory for PM Rudd and For the Australian Labor Party.

LoL, No, I don't actually farm Kangaroo's.

Roy, aren't you the one who says who cares what other think when non-Americans comment on America and you don't like what they say?

Roy, please remove your blinders.

How come almost all of our allies have socialist governments? I thought these guys were just watered down communists! Next you'll be telling me our good friends the Brits are also socialists!
