This week groups from all over the world are gathered in Copenhagen to try and solve the problem of global warming. But a much smaller group from a world of their own is also in Copenhagen... to deny the problem of global warming.

Now I don't know exactly how to solve global warming, but I do know that denying the existence of a problem rarely works. Hey, I watch A&E's "Intervention." If there were an intervention on these climate change deniers, at the end of the show we would find out that they left treatment after a week. Now they're back in their dark basement trying to hack researcher's emails.

So why do they do it? Conservative corporate interests and polluters deny global warming because they have a financial interest in doing so. As for the rest of them, I'm not sure if they hate the notion of global warming because it's something that liberals accept, or because it's true. The two things conservatives hate the most are liberal dogma, and the truth. And they especially hate when those two overlap. If a liberal or a scientist pointed out that a volcano was about to explode, right wingers would claim that it's not, just out of reflex. And they would urge people living under the volcano to stay where they are. They themselves, of course, would discreetly relocate. Just like I'm sure none of the current climate change deniers have any real estate investments in the Maldives. The right wing is...

I don't know why, but based off one of the 1st posts on politics I read from you on the Long Island board, I initially pegged you as a conservative. Glad I was wrong :. Anyway Rhodes nailed it as usual.

There is a solution on the horizon. And is does not take a conference. It is already happening.

"Bright orange lava spews up into the air, dark smoke mingles with the clouds and the gloomy night takes on an ominous red glow.

Towering 1,200ft above the tropical stillness of the Sunda Strait in Indonesia, one of the most terrifying volcanoes the world has ever known has begun to stir once more."

"Krakatoa had an extraordinary effect on the planet last time round. Average global temperatures following the eruption fell by as much as 1.2 C, as the huge quantities of sulphur dioxide pumped into the atmosphere resulted in clouds that reflected a greater amount of incoming light from the sun."

But the question is....is carbon dioxide that we create from our automobiles the problem?...or is it that the earth goes through ice ages and natural occurrences...no one is trying to deny that there is an iceberg floAting towards Australia, but the people passing these tax laws by saying its global warming due to our own abuse of the planet are the ones that are gonna make the killing of money off of us and those are the same people that has caused the food prices to go up so high that people in the 3rd world like Haiti are dying at a higher rate now from starvation....its all about divide and conquer to these globalists..and they want us all to fight...that's all i will say so don't ask me another question because i have heard the hate from your side enough and there is no research from your side about the real motives behind all of this....why would al gore back away from a meeting he felt so strongly about when it could get his message of saving our planet out to millions..why exactly would he just turn away after being exposed?...lol...so i guess we remain divided...good day

The turmoil in the Hatian government which has always been a problem, but increased in recent years has nothing to do with it, right........

The vast majority of the Scientific community is in agreement that Global Warming is mad made, some disagreements over the extent, but the consensus by the Scientific Community is that it is made made. You will find some, who completely disagree, but they are at odds with the vast majority of the Scientific community, and most of those who have disagreed with it being mad made seem to have connection to oil and energy companies. Even putting aside the Global Warming aspect of the debate for a minute, the simple aspect of all the Pollutants that are in the air, that we all breathe in is a major concern that we need to get more control over.

First off no one is talking about taxing the air we breathe. The only talk on taxes is for corporations who have proven over and over again that they are completely unwilling on their own to do anything about all the crap they release into the air. They were given ample time to clean it up on their own and refused to do so,

do some research ok...it will happen in the future...it all starts when they get away with taxing us for a natural element of science called carbon dioxide...after that they can tax us for the miles we drive and the air we breath...there is info that i am getting which is backed up by actuall documents from the government...but you wouldn't even care to look at that because you want to stand your ground in an arguement to win a war of words....i listen to Alex Jones because he has predicted things like 9-11 were going to happen in the past and back things up with documents after they actually happened..but everyone shouts right winger this or left winger that instead of listening to the warnings and no one did before 9-11
