Politico is reporting that an improving US economy, and a 50% reduction in the budget deficit since Obama took office, is complicating things for the GOP, as they try to regroup for 2014:

Rising economy shifts 2014 election landscape - Ben White - POLITICO.com

Guess that explains all the "scandals"

Yup. The economy has been grinding forward for 4 years now but it looks like it's finally picking up a good head of steam.

There's a reason GOP is busy manufacturing scandals. Despite their attempts to destroy the economy, they can't really use it as a chip for their political games. So, it is back to the late 90s... create scandals, get "the news" out, and hope the stupid buy into it in enough numbers.

Not so much. Barack Obama's actions explain the scandals. Can any Obama supporter point to one Obama or Dem policy that has helped improve the economy?

Sure - the bailouts, the stimulus & QE - to name just 3.

Um the bailouts were put into place by Bush, and the stimulus drained excess capital from society. Its no coincidence that the economy is improving as it winds down..

This does sound like the mid 90s all over again. Things are going good for Democrats, then the Cons feel they need to create "scandals" to distract people with. Though unlike the mid 90s we have the technology to realize these are nothing more that a smoke screen to win elections for the GOP, and it is clearly failing for them this time around.

This is getting so old. Obama supporters want free stuff and they will believe anything and forfeit our country to get it. Me, I don't care anymore. Why bother, I'm just taking it easy.
