you are probably right, damn it, but I still they the question has little to do with what Bush did or didn't do, the question simply is: do you approve?

I am getting tired of "he did it, why can't I?" We used that as an excuse for misbehaving or getting our way when we were kids...

I think we need new rules for Social Security. Those who paid in 40 years should be able to take out for 40 years, those who paid in only 10 years should be limited to 10 years of checks.

Well what about those of us who worked 20 years full time and about 20 part time, do we get to take out 30 years?

Bush didn't inherit an ECONOMY IN TOTAL CHAOS bordering on another Great Depression.

Obama did !!!

That is a HUGE DIFFERENCE !!!

Obama now needs to spend TRILLIONS just to clean up the ECONOMIC DISASTER left to him by Bush !!!

No, I do not!!!!!
Actually I would support an Amendment to the United States Constitution that would say "The United States Government Shall Maintain a Balanced Budget Every Fiscal Year. An Exception For a National Emergency May Be Made With A Vote Of 4/5ths of the Congress and 75 Senators"
That is what I would like to see. Then people would think twice about starting billion dollar wars that they have to pay for now.

You have to work in the United States 40 quarters (10 years) to draw even minimum benefits from Social Security. This law was put in a few decades ago because people (mainly Russian and Chinese) would bring their elders over here and put them on Social Security. Now they have to take care of them. I am not sure if they can get Medicare but most of them are poor enough to get Medicaid.
