Actually, I'm happy that Lieberman is doing what he can to stop this nonsense. My political views are more conservative than liberal, but I don't know anyone (even out of my Democratic friends) who thinks that the current senate bill is actually a solution to the healthcare cost and access issue.
It is not a solution, rather this bill will make things much worse and does NOT reform health care at all.
To some of us, it would have been a good bill if it did not have to be watered down so much in attempt to get the last few votes. At this point, it's become a bill that neither democrats or republicans like ... which is the definition of compromise working for the worse.
People of Connecticut PLEEEZE vote this bum out of office! Not supporting a public option was bad enough, but now he plainly tells Reid that he will also not vote for any bill that extends Medicare coverage to people 55-64. This guy is so bought by the Health Insurance industry that he might as well walk around with a flashing placard that says as much.
I am not being nasty. I would like to honestly know what you think you will gain from this health care bill? Is it reducing your premiums, giving you insurance you do not have now? Do you have an existing condition that renders you uninsurable? Are you young? If you are young then your premiums will go through the roof to offset the lowered (so they say) premiums for the older folks. I would really like to know what people see in the current bill.
Lieberman is just in need of his ego "stroking". That is all that posturing is about. Of course the same could be said for a good many of our "representatives".

You know I have stayed out of any personal discussions about health insurance but here I go.
I have had 4 children in hospitals, a wife with ITP, her spleen removed, me living with Crones disease since I was 18, snd in the hospital over 60 days YTD, a daughter that has had Epilepsy, Growth Hormone Deficiency, and now serious female problems. I have another daughter that has had 2 tumors removed from her knee that are so rare they were written up at by her physician at CHOC, another son that had a tumor removed from his sinus cavity at UCLA Medical Center, another extremely rare medical problem. This does not include burns broken bones, coughs, flu etc..
If it was not for those evil health insurance companies I would have been left with nothing at all to my name for eternity or you would liberals would/could have paid for my care with you tax dollars.
Hopefully this is the end of the bill and Barry O. "Water-Loo, Water-Loo, hmmmm.
