What do you think the agenda is here when a president's own administration wants to own a prison?...Why can't the prison be state owned and operated?

Is this a serious question? The agenda is that the gitmo detainees are under federal jurisdiction, not Illinois jurisdiction. The administration won't own anything. The federal government will.

How many prisons are state owned and operated? I don't think you fully understand the current prison industry complex. Take a deeper look into who owns and operates your state (and federal) prison and what kinds of government kickbacks they're given.

I thnik taht if people really beleieved it was safe to liove next to a prison ;you wouldn;'t see them so remotely located. I certainly would say our prison systems have a safe record and that is with non-polically based oragnized groups being held.Definitely not as safe as having terrorist located in getmo. Gald i don't live nearby as it sure to be a target of terroist to free them.

Suicide bombers don't fly into federal prisons to get Bernie Madoff out.
