This is hideous.

Talk about soaking the rich.

Kaiser online estimators for both house and senate plans.

Explanations

Based on H.R. 3962 as passed in the House on November 7, 2009.
The premiums are illustrative examples in 2009 dollars. For a 40 year old single adult, the premium for a basic plan is assumed to be $3,500 for a plan with a 70% actuarial value (a basic plan under the House proposal).
The actual premium calculated is adjusted for family type, and for age (within the two to one limit specified in the bill).
Premium subsidies are based on a basic plan.
Premium subsidies are based on a table of maximum family payments as a percentage of income, with amounts adjusted linearly between income levels in the table.
Subsidized people are also eligible for reduced cost sharing, in addition to premium subsidies. These are not illustrated in the calculator.
In later years, subsidized people can enroll in more expensive plans, but must pay the full difference in the premium.

Family of four, 40 years old, $40,000 gets to pay $9,435.00 per year with no government subsidy.

Nearly 25% of the families income will go towards health insurance or go to jail. No wonder Obama's buddies at AIG just love, love, love this plan!

So, how much is it going to cost you?
