I don't know about sex ed at the age of 10--but the other subjects can be touched on briefly. Seems more like high school topics though to me.

I think they generally keep those subjects age-appropriate. I know my daughter saw a film on slavery in elementary school and her class read Number the Stars, about the holocaust, in sixth grade. She already knew the basics of sex by the time she was 9. She heard rumors from the other kids, and looked everything up in the encyclopedia to get the facts then came to me and told me what she'd found out.
