DC is poised to get up to a foot of snow tomorrow and there's talk of another storm on Christmas. I'm sure Al Gore is lying on a beach somewhere soaking in the sun.

They haven't had white Christmas often, and probably will not have it this year either. Get over it, -4 in Denmark is NORMAL.

Not according to the official temperature readings - granted they've had a FEW days below zero, but that is definitely not the norm..

According to the official weathercast, -4 is not normal, nor is 4 inches of snow.

7 times in a century could not be deemed as a "normal" occurrence.

If zero is average, then -4 is normal. Yes, they don't get that much snow, but your claim of 7 days in a century is in reference to Dec 24th, only and that is one specific day in the year. So, no matter how hard you try to make it sound like they only had snow 7 days in the century, it is simply not true. They have had 'white christmas' on Dec 24th seven times, but is snows pretty much every winter.

As I am sure you are aware, Sanrene, one of the indicators of global warming is more extreme temperature shifts and increased snowfall in many areas. Some areas get colder, others get warmer:

Global Warming Means More Snow For Great Lakes Region
Quote:
“Recent increases in the water temperature of the Great Lakes are consistent with global warming,” said Burnett. “Such increases widen the gap between water temperature and air temperature – the ideal condition for snowfall.”
Here's an unbiased video explanation:

Quote:
weather related disasters have quadrupled in the last two decades with a current average of 500 per year. Compare that to 120 in the 1980s.

It just seems odd that you keep posting images and statements of snowfall that actually support the argument for global warming, when all of your ideological rhetoric seems to be against it.

Yes, we've been through this before. The term "global warming" no longer applied when the Earth stopped cooperating with the fanatics and their ridiculous predictions.

So they had to come up with another term....Climate change....which would then encompass every natural weather event, natural disaster and extreme in hot and cold weather patterns, drought, flood, hurricane, etc, etc, etc.

So now they have all their bases covered....if it snows in DC in December, climate change, if you have a 60 degree day in January/February...climate change, if you have a record breaking hurricane season...climate change, if the predictions of a record breaking hurricane season don't come to fruition...climate change, if they sound the alarm in July about sea ice melting...climate change, if the sea ice replenishes, 3 fold, in December....climate change.

NO, increased snowfall and temperature shifts ARE NOT indicative of global warming.....they are a perfectly natural event that has been happening forever.

Call it global warming because that's what it is. Within that global warming are massive shifts.

I think you do not understand the science, otherwise you'd see that what's important are the differences from what was happening before and where it was happening.

Watch that video. The scientist on their gives you some context.
