Thinking about how Obama has dealt with Congress this past year and his leadership would you say he's more like an FDR or a Jimmy Carter? Remember, even if you don't like his policies (all Repubs out there) you can still perceive him as strong and effective at getting his way. A lot of Republicans thought FDR was a dictator. Do you find Obama that influential in Washington or just a pied piper who's leading a failed "childrens crusade"?

The guy is a failure on all levels. The term "weak" is a euphemism to describe him.

Very strong! It takes quite a strength of will to allow Congress to try to put a Health Care bill together. Even if it is not nearly as good as we need it to be, Clinton proved that trying to force Congress to do what is right, is not possible. For Obama to keep his hands off as much as he did, is amazing. He is trying his best to get Congress to do what they were elected to do, represent the people of the U.S. It's an ambitious task when most members are loathe to do that.

I agree with you strictly in terms of how he governs. This is a very intelligent strategy to employ.

On the other hand, I hope his idealistic, well, ideas are failures; enough of our safety and liberties were eroded during the Clinton and Bush (43) administrations. We haven't had a truly excellent President since Reagan.

Reagan? Well, if you are a strict follower of the Heritage Foundation, I guess you could say he was great.

Answers: Extremely weak, the weakest since before FDR, much weaker than Jimmy Carter (who did not have a 60-40 majority in the Senate and huge majority in the house)

Influential? Remarkably not.

Pied Piper? TO what tune? Everything about Obama is image and the potential a desperate people want to project upon him. He was extremely underqualified for the Democratic nomination and nowhere close to qualified to be President. In fact, I have never seen a politician so devoid of ideas given so much credibility.

S.
