I don't ever recall anyone calling bush, "boy". or messiah nazi, socialist, marxist, monkey,
the right wing idiots have 1,000 names to call Obama. Just think, at least 3 more years of this trash, and maybe even 7?

The republicans are like a person in the dark holding a unlit candle and looking for a match. Lost.
...well, let's be fair. A lot of people called Bush a monkey. There was really no denying the physical resemblance.

Bush was also called a Fascist, a Nazi, and a lot more. There were entire books published that mocked him. Imo, rightfully so on the books, since the guy lacked leadership, intellectual, and public speaking abilities, two qualities that should be required in the job description.

It just comes with being president. The radicals of the opposition who can't fathom another philosophy in charge come out in full force. The tea party protesters are doing it today just like the far left did it in Bush's time.

You just have to ignore those extremes and look to the middle.

I've also noticed that threads pointing out the evils of Christianity seem to increase after Thanksgiving and start winding down to their normal level after New Years.

Nobody's justifying anyone's bad behavior.

I'm just trying to help you put your boogeymen in a better perspective.

You fear what Christians are doing around the world and I think Islam is a greater threat to humanity given the sheer number of violent acts that get reported.

For every abortion doctor murdered my some nut claiming "God told him to", I'll give you a hundred, if not thousand of people murdered because "Allah told them to".

Well, plus the promise of 72 fresh virgins waiting for some action by their brave jihadi warrior. Chrisitanity doesn't offer such a tempting prize.

I believe that atheists tend to become more hostile towards the Christian religion around Christian holidays as well. I do not understand any of this due to the fact that I do not see what difference it makes if someone is Catholic, Jewish, Islamic, Atheist, Agnostic, etc. Why do people care what religion or non-religion someone is? Making generalizations about a group of people due to religion or non-religion is the same as making generalizations about a group due to race or wealth/poverty level.

The only thing that ever annoys me is if someone comes to my door trying to entice me into a religion and when told that I am not interested they try to push you into talking to them. This does not happen often but it is something I can see people being annoyed with. I believe that someone who says a Christmas tree or Menorah offends them is being a bit ridiculous and should perhaps find something more meaningful in life to occupy their time.

Just for the record; I am a Catholic. Although I am Catholic I am not a church goer. I believe in my religion but I have not faith in the Catholic church at all. I believe it is one of the most corrupt organizations ever to exist. The corruption reached a peak around the times of the Crusades but many of the changes that were made at that time still exist today. One example of this is the fact that priests are not allowed to marry. This rule came about during the Crusades due to the fact that the corrupt Pope at the time wanted to ensure that his followers were loyal to him while saying that it shows they are more loyal to God. I believe this rule at the present time really just entices closet homosexuals, pedophiles and all around freaks to become priests. With that being said, I really do not judge those who do not agree with me and go to the Catholic church each day.

With all of the above being said; why can't we all just leave each other alone and let each other believe what we wish to believe without criticizing one another?

One last thing. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. Regardless of your beliefs or non-beliefs, I sincerely hope that everyone has a good day on December 25. While we are at it, have a good 26, 27, 28 and all of the days in between until even the next December 25.

Don't say I fear anything, as I am a Christian. You're creating a monster to oppress you that doesn't exist.

As a world traveler, I am well aware of what is happening in Islam. It is no better, and in many ways far worse.

The reason people are concerned about Christianity here is because there is a very well funded and concerted effort from a radical fundamentalist branch to control our government, our schools, our science, and our moral code based on their one specific theology.

They actually believe they have the only correct answers, as do many in Islam. So long as people believe that, we will have war and division.

In the name of all our founding fathers fought to build, we must protect this America for what it was meant to be in terms of freedom of all spiritual expression, and keep it from succumbing to a theocracy, as has happened to horrifying impact in the Middle East.

Maybe you notice because that's what you want to see.
Happy Kwanzaa and Solstice to you, religious bigot.
I get frustrated with people telling me what I must say.
The only ones who do that are xians.

Yeah, you scream your offensive opinions to several different groups of people and then ask that we get along.
You're the reason why I think most xians are wackaloons and my contempt for all religions.
It's a matter of your unbridled hatred.

The nastieness towards Obama's policies that are being rammed down our throats have nothing to do with Christmas and everything to do with the resistance of those who cherish liberty over social entitlement programs and the redistribution of the money from those who earn to those who take.

You're really doing your religion a disservice.
What I notice is they claim to be Christians. Closer to an American Taliban than real Christianity.
