Aadel Suad first came to the planning and construction committee of the Misgav Local Council in 1997. Suad, an educator, was seeking a construction permit to build a home on a plot of land he owns in the community of Mitzpeh Kamon. The reply he got, from a senior official on the committee, was a memorable one.
If you think that's bad, you should read about all the Arabs throughout the region across multiple states who won't let Jews build houses on their own land and in fact, took the land from the Jews, as well as all their wealth, before they kicked them out of the country! Your task: find an Arab country that allows Jews to live as equals and own land. There are 22 Arab countries in the Middle East alone, so even if you find ONE to meet the requirement, you should realize how sobering that is. Furthermore, there are Jews in Israel who own land fair and square for which they have a deed proving payment, and yet Arab squatters are squatting in it and the courts will not support the Jews. This is a problem particularly in East Jerusalem. There are parcels of Jewish owned land that have been bought and paid for multiple times with Jewish money, and still rests in the possession of Arab squatters.
Isn't that something? Kind of puts the OP's story in perspective.
It is wrong to bag Jews & Arabs, blaming them equally for each one prohibiting home construction to the other one...
The Jews have a world theory of peace,coexistence & prosperity for all,Jews & goyms ( foreigners) ,
the islamists have a detailed world theory of fighting to eradicate the infidel ( giavur)...
So, it is wrong to keep "equal distance " & blame both for rights violations...
