You are not alone. When Charlie Gibson retired I was thinking that he was one of the few news people left that, after watching him for many years, I still did not have the slightest idea if he is a democrat, republican, or neither. There are very few real news sources left. More and more sound like the National Enquirer.
Well, if you do, then you are alone. Even presidents and presidential candidates that he interviewed have publically stated that they didn't have a clue as to where his political interest lay. You can watch interviews he did with both Bushes, Reagan, Carter, Clinton, McCain, Kerry, Obama, and you would see the same type of behavior and interviews with all. He has publically said that he has not even voted in the last 25 years because he wanted to make sure he didn't have "a dog in the fight." So, I kind of think that your surety says more about your feelings than his.

Why would he need to vote when he can influence millions of votes. Saying that he didn't vote was supposed to act as some sort of sanitizer, but I don't buy.
I'll give it to Gibson that he has seemingly been more objective than any other alphabet network anchor in my lifetime. He seemed like an actual journalist which is unusual in the alphabet news departments.
U.S." World News" on major U.S. television networks is a total joke. Which explains the average American's total ignorance of world events and other cultures.
