He spent an hour there, not exactly what I would call spending Christmas day with the troops. That is just enough time to get a couple of photo ops in and then get the hell out of there before he catches any cooties from those vile military people...
Well after the skipping church debacle, at least he did something right.
This is precisely why the right wing should shed their dependence on the religious right whack jobs and their dirty money. Were it up to the religious right, everyone would be required to attend church.
A person's faith is a personal choice. There are no laws governing religious choices.
You act as though there's something wrong with missing church on Christmas. As if somehow it's your business.
Uh, it's been in the news all week. Please visit the thread about it on this page for lively discussion of the topic.
Actually, it's good that we have a president who's more concerned about dealing with issues like a terrorist attempt on an airliner than in making a church appearance for publicity purposes.
I mean, it's obvious enough that the call out and insignia on the jacket are photoshopped. But it might be a little over the top when Bush himself is photoshopped INTO the picture.

He's just not going to catch a break from some of you cynical people, is he. If he had spent the entire day there you'd be complaining that he made his Secret Service work harder on Christmas and made the troops hang around an event instead of spending their time they way they'd want. Oh, and if you'd read the OP article it was two hours---one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
