I can tell you this, with the mass immigration coming to Europe from middle-eastern countries, it's only getting worse for you (muslim marriage laws, garb, building of mosques, etc). The people are up in arms in several countries.
Germany is already a immigration country. Guest workers came here 30 years ago and stayed. Maybe do some research on it. I am also an immigrant.
Also, I stated at least 3 times, that I am not able to say whether CD is a good representation or not. Go through my posts in this thread and youll see.
I also never said that Europe doesnt has its share of racism etc, but thats not the topic of this thread.
Actually, what you cannot deny is that most americans did support the war in Iraq even though there was no real evidence of WMD.
At least 50% voted Bush back again into office. That is something Ill never understand.
Also people still think that Bin Laden was directly involved in 9/11, even though Cheney stated otherwise. To be fair, most Europeans don`t know that either.
The thread is not about ignorance in general, but the ignorance of US americans toward the World.
Again, for the 10th time, it has nothing to do with god or his beliefs in any diety. I could care less. It's the fact that he is a physician and does not understand basic terminology. That's fine for you; that's not fine for an educated man in medicine or the sciences. The only time a person disagrees with a theory is when it's a lay theory; aka a guess. You do not disagree with decades of evidence. Not even creationists do that. At least they realize what the heck a theory is and then they go picking at the layers.
So he did disagreee with it, and it bothers you, but for me it does not discredit his views and opinons on other important issues. I "get" what you mean, but I feel like you are too concerned with.
Still, if you cannot grasp this small point, I don't know how you can state you are not ignorant in the sciences or anything else. That's why I provided you with that link. Your self-assessment is off. That lends to questioning your assessments in general. And normally I wouldn't say anything. But, I am an American and I know many fine, aware, compassionate, intelligent, contributing individuals that deserve more than to be reduced to the crap you're dishing out.
