I wouldn't call them a "buddy". Given a choice between Hamas and Fatah in their little civil war, Fatah wins hands down.
Let's just say they are more moderate than their brethren in Hamas.
Yes, that is pretty much what I said earlier. They are the lesser evil, but I predicted the guns we gave them will eventually turn against Israel, and that seems to be what happend the other day.

Well first of all Hamas is barley an organization, they dont even have a proper government. In the 2006 elections Hamas won fair and square, but Israel did not give them a chance to see what they could do for 3 years, they always disrupt them. How do you expect Palestine to have democracy if Israel continues to act hostile towards the Palestenians, by not giving them any rights.
Hamas throws these rockets into Israel for self defence, you're talking about Hamas as if its a Iran or something big, they're weak they're rebuilding themselves from the destructions Israel brought to them and their people.
Israel have an organized army with support from the world, and they should just stop killing innocent people for no reason or even militants who dont even harm them in anyway.
Since sep 2000, 124 Israeli children were killed, and 1,441 palestenian children have been killed.
The little darlings murdered a father of seven the day before. They all had a long record of terror activities:
Three of the four terrorists who murdered Rabbi Meir Chai last Thursday were killed in a shootout in Nablus Friday night, within a day of killing the Israeli father of seven on the road to his home. A fourth terrorist surrendered to Palestinian Authority security forces.
The terror cell of the Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, comprising men in their thirties and forties, was identified by Israeli intelligence. At least one had been given amnesty by Israel.
The dead terrorists were:
Nader Raed Sukarji, a 40 year-old inhabitant of Nablus, arrested in 2002 and suspected of being a top Al Aksa brigade operative and participant in many terror attacks. He also prepared bombs and helped establish explosives factories in Nablus. He was released from prison in January 2009. Palestinian sources say Sukarji's wife was also injured in the operation.
Ghassan Abu Sharkh, 39, was imprisoned by security forces in 1990. His brother, Nayef, was the head of the Tanzim terror organization's military wing in Shechem, which facilitated several terror attacks until being killed by IDF forces in June 2004.
Anan Suleiman Mustafa Subih, 36, was an operative of the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, was involved in extensive Tanzim military activities. Subih worked in trafficking weapons and supplies for use in terror acts. Subih had recently been accepted in Israel's amnesty program for Fatah gunmen. His participation in Tanzim work was a direct violation of that agreement.
