A friend sent this video to me. The explanation is clear and well illustrated and I think it would make a good teaching tool in our classrooms.

The Philosophy of Liberty

If Republicans want to establish their own private school system, then I'd agree with the display of this video in the schools....and only in those schools where it's filled with nothing but the children of right-wingers.

So if the kids want to have sex and take drugs in school, that's okay because it's what they want and they don't have to listen to any authority that would stop them from exercising their own liberty? Ever heard of the social compact? Seems like an anarchist's manifesto.

So you think the principles of Liberty and the concept of personal responsibility shouldn’t be taught in public schools?!

Perhaps anarchy and lack of civic responsibility shouldn't be taught in public schools.

Yeah, you're probably right - a free society couldn't possibly be "civil".

Without outside force or fraud, most of the as*holes in "society" couldn't function.

But gee - Would that be a bad thing?

That personal responsibility thing would probably just murder the "Civil" Responsibilitarian movement.

This YouTube video is pure sedition, and anti Obama-World.

I'm a Personal Responsibilitarian, but I plan to turn myself in, for the betterment of the ALL.

interesting backstory ...

but, unfortunately, a lot of people who would go rah rah rah are also those that would strip a woman's right to choose away but still claim to support liberty.

If you watch the video it is really funny that they say YOU control YOUR life but yet THEY (conservatives) think they have the right to tell you that you must have a baby, who you can and cannot marry or have sex with, what time and days you can drink beer, that you cannot gamble with your own money you earned from your own labours, which God you must believe in, what books and magazines you are allowed to buy and look at and on and on with them. They don't believe in that themselves.

You didn't answer my question as to how this doesn't give kids license to have sex and smoke pot in school. Please clarify.
