I would accept that argument if it were consistent, but it is not. Where were the tea-birthers when Bush oversaw the largest expansion of Medicare and added billions to the deficit as a result? Where were the tea-baggers when Bush was using tax money to stop our financial system from collapsing? Nobody was upset then, because Fox news wasn't telling them to be.
Actually the first tea parties started in early 2008 and were in support of Ron Paul and were very anti-Bush in nature. These have been forgotten as the likes of Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity have hi-jacked them.

Those stupid policies made the US the most powerful nation for quite a while. It was when Clinton, Bush and now Obama started meddling around the world and in our country that things went south.
